This is the final post in our pentatonic blues scales series. Today let’s take a look at the B pentatonic blues guitar scale.
After the previous lessons this is obvious, but the root note here is B. And the blue note is F.
You begin by playing the B note on the 2nd fret of the A5 string, and you progress your way to the end of the pattern which is the B note on the B2 string (open string).

The next pattern, which you can see below is a typical blues pattern – it has a typical blues layout, so it’s great for practicing. You begin by playing the B note on the 7th fret of the E6 string, and work your way up through two octaves until you reach the last note which is the B note on the 7th fret of the E1 string.

That’s it for this blues scale. I hope you’ll enjoy playing it. I, personally, like to practice by playing different blues scales. Being fluent with all the sounds that are within a scale can improve your skills significantly.
